Trauma-informed care is a buzzword in the juvenile justice field but there remain many questions about what exactly this means, how to implement it, and which specific practices improve outcomes for youth, families, staff, and agencies. In this 90-minute webinar hosted by the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators, Dr. Branson reviews specific interventions-practices-policies that exemplify a trauma-informed juvenile justice facility, offers tips on launching a trauma-informed care initiative, and discusses potential barriers and facilitators to becoming trauma-informed.
